fun with markers.... it takes me a while to color these things in marker.... not that they are hard, they're really fun to use. trial and error + experimentation takes a bit longer than in photoshop where you can just do whatever you want.

also, sometiems there'd have to be several layers of markers to achieve the rich colors we usually neglect when using photoshop.

I use copic markers which you can order from carpediemstore.com. No, they don't sponsor me and I won't earn a single cent. They are just the best price online (I think) and they are always very nice when I buy from them in San Diego Comic-Con.

as for colors.... just start with a set of 12 grayscale warms or cools.

lastly, you can practice coloring markers on photoshop by setting your brushes to multiply... @ 20-40 percent opacity.

white highlights are done with Gelly rolls.
